Web-Based Document Viewing and Interaction
Most users, and many developers as well, are not aware that Visio is an active document application. This means that Visio diagrams may be both viewed and edited across the Internet based upon some specific criteria. Presume that you have a Web server located in Koala Lumpur. That Web server has public access to a directory containing a Visio diagram. Presume also that you are located in Minot, North Dakota and you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater as your Web browser. Additionally presume that you have a copy of Visio 5.0 or higher installed on your desktop. You do not even need to be aware that Visio is installed locally; it simply resides there.
