Many different diagram types in Visio involve connected diagrams. That is, they require individual SmartShape symbols be connected via lines, connectors, or other symbols. In the past chapter, we have seen how we can add symbols to a page. We need to look at how symbols can be connected under ActiveX Automation. Here you will work with the Cell object and the Cell object's Formula and Result properties, and also learn about two new methods of a Cell object: the GlueTo method and the GlueToPos method.
