There are many, many people to thank for the successful completion of this book starting with my co-author, Brad Stevenson. I met Brad (whose initials are actually “BCS,” no kidding) at the very beginning of 2009 when we started the effort to create training materials around what was then called Line-of-Business Integration (LOBi). Brad spent a significant amount of time explaining the vision and functionality of the new technology in a little kitchen area. Along with Boris Scholl, who led the Visual Studio effort, they got me hooked. I knew immediately that I wanted to write a book about it. Securing Brad as a co-author was a selfish move because I got to use his vision as a foundation for the book.
Next on the list to thank is our outstanding technical reviewer, Todd Baginski. Todd has been around BCS\BDC for a long time, and is a recognized expert in the SharePoint community. He did foundational work on the MetaMan model-generating product. Thanks for all your insights, Todd.
