2.9. Enterprise Single Sign-On

Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) is an integral part of a BizTalk solution and provides a resilient and secure store for information. By default BizTalk uses SSO to provide secure and centralized storage of adapter configuration and any usernames and passwords required for access to remote systems (which adapters can then retrieve).

Using the SSO provides a secure store for this configuration data. Because it's held centrally, the configuration data can be changed once and all the BizTalk Servers will retrieve this configuration data on startup.

Chapters 11 and 12 discuss SSO in more detail.
