Chapter 8. Developing with Flex Builder 3

Chapter 6 looked at creating Flex and ActionScript projects, including some basics of using Flex Builder, the Flex 3 integrated development environment (IDE). In this chapter, you'll delve further into the topic and learn how to use all the unique development features that make Flex Builder such a powerful development tool, including managing projects, building applications, and using Flex Builder's code-assist features.

Flex Builder is based on Eclipse, so if you're already familiar with the Eclipse's toolset, this chapter may be merely a refresher for you, although there are some features unique to Flex Builder that may not be present in other Eclipse-based IDEs. For more advanced details on using Flex Builder, see Chapter 9, "Customizing Flex Builder 3."
