On 25th March 1997 Granada TV were ordered to pay £327,000 plus costs after a make-up artist’s career was ended as a result of being knocked over by a six foot three, 17-stone wrestler carrying out a pre-arranged but unannounced scuffle. The artist was knocked over as the wrestler ran off the set.
