Localization

Localizing a game is customizing it to ship in another country. The most common territories to receive localized versions of Next-Gen console games are England, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain, commonly referred to as EFIGS, but there are also parts of Canada that require the game text to be in both English and French. These aren’t the only territories where games can be localized. Console gaming is popular in Japan, Korea, China, Russia, and the Nordic regions, but they don’t commonly receive iterations of North American games.
