User Friendliness of the Tool
Earlier UML tools focused more on developers and hence tended to ignore the usability aspect. However, in a large-scale and full lifecycle development environment, many nontechnical personnel use UML tools. These include end users, business analysts, quality-assurance personnel, and even senior program directors. Therefore, the user friendliness of the tool, including the ease with which new users can start using it, is important.
