With the exception of one or two, almost all popular UML-based CASE tools that are used in countries such as Australia and New Zealand are developed in the U.S. Therefore, while this may not be a vital criterion for American users, for others it is still important to note if the tool has a local vendor and local support. This is important in terms of receiving initial queries on installation and tool usage, corresponding training and consulting support, and frequent and timely upgrades.
