Problem Finding

Introduction

Many techniques are used in developing a view of an organization and its problems. The techniques presented in this chapter are a representative mix of idea generation, graphics, and diagramming and analysis techniques that can all be used on a single project in developing the organization view. These techniques are almost never used in isolation but are mixed and matched as the situation warrants. The techniques also have wider applicability than just problem finding, and they can be used during any phase of process analysis and improvement.
