Introduction

This Glossary provides an alphabetical list of system development words, phrases, acronyms, and abbreviations—with their definitions—that places particular emphasis on the Hatley/Hruschka/Pirbhai architecture and requirements methods and associated books and workshops. All of these terms are in common use among system developers and take on special meanings in the field of system engineering. Terms whose usage is consistent with standard dictionary definitions are not included here. This Glossary is not intended as an industry standard; nor is it meant to usurp such standards.
