Quick Tips

  • If you omit the FORMAT= option, then PROC TABULATE uses BEST12.2 as the default format.
  • Formats that are specified in a TABLE statement override the format that is specified with the FORMAT= option. The way this works is that PROC TABULATE evaluates the formats in the order in which they are listed.
  • You can create your own formats with a PICTURE format.
  • You can use a PICTURE format with the MULT= option to convert table values.
  • You can use the WEIGHT= statement or the WEIGHT= option to produce various weighted values.
