The Sketch
This is a basic descriptive
table designed to show mean income. It has an overall mean and a breakdown
by education level. It also shows the number of observations in the
data set.

To build this example,
we will break it down into pieces and build them one at a time. Then
the pieces can be put together to create the final table.
Whenever you are building
a PROC TABULATE table, it is usually simpler to build it piece by
piece. It is easier to see what is and is not working if you do not
try to build the whole table at once. We follow these steps to create
our table:
