Curve Fitting

Prerequisites

Before you start reading this unit, you should:

  • Have some knowledge in partial differentiation
  • Be able to do some calculations like summations, logarithms of some numbers and their anti logarithms.
  • Have little knowledge in plotting of points

Learning Objectives

After going through this unit, you would be able to:

  • Know fitting a curve to a data
  • Obtain normal equations for any curve
  • Understanding the method of least squares in fitting any curve
