Printing in WPF is vastly more powerful than it was with Windows Forms. Tasks that weren't possible using the .NET libraries and that would have forced you to use the Win32 API or WMI (such as checking a print queue) are now fully supported using the classes in the new System.Printing namespace.
Even more dramatic is the thoroughly revamped printing model that organizes all your coding around a single ingredient: the PrintDialog class in the System.Windows.Controls namespace. Using the PrintDialog class, you can show a Print dialog box where the user can pick a printer and change its setting, and you can send elements, documents, and low-level visuals directly to the printer.
