In this chapter, I show you how to create two kinds of popup UI controls. The first, the
WinJS.UI.Menu control, is used to create context menus, which allow the user to perform actions directly on elements in your app layout. The
Menu control is flexible and has some useful features, but I find the mechanism by which users activate context menus to be less than obvious, which means that careful thought is required when using this control.
