Installing Internet Information Services
Although not required for WCF development or hosting, IIS is one of the hosting options, and some of the book examples leverage IIS for hosting.
You can install IIS on both Windows XP and Windows 2003 by selecting Start 
Control Panel 
Add or Remove Programs. This opens the Add or Remove Programs dialog box.
Once the Add or Remove Programs dialog box appears, click Add/Remove Windows Components. At this point, slight differences between Windows 2003 and Windows XP exist.
