Pro Tools transfers

If you need to transfer your Pro Tools session to a different Pro Tools system, perhaps at a larger studio, or onto a portable system, or across platform Mac-to-PC or vice versa, then you should prepare the session carefully first to make sure that everything will transfer just the way you want it.

You should also make a copy of the project and use this for the transfer – deleting any tracks you don’t intend to use. This way, your original files are left untouched, so you can always go back to these source files in case anything goes wrong later on.
