The process of recording MIDI is similar to audio recording in many respects, but with some additional flexibility.
Usually, your first step is to pick a sound that you want to use. Doing this varies slightly depending on whether you’re using an external MIDI device or a virtual instrument plug-in. Let’s start with the external device.
To choose a sound for an external device, follow these steps:
