Fantastic! You’re on your way to running a great recording session! Before we close this chapter, here are a few tidbits to call on when you need them.
When it comes to good file-management practices, remember this: The names of regions and files that you create during recording will follow the names of the tracks upon which they’re being recorded. For example, a track named Drums will yield recording passes named Drums_01, Drums_02, and so on. Bottom line: The best work habit is to name your tracks before you start recording. However, if you ever forget to do this, or if you ever want to change the name of a region after that region has been created, it’s easy to do.
