Getting Started: Signal Flow 101

We took a good first look at the Edit window in the first few chapters. Now it’s time to dig deeper. First, though, you’ll need to create a new blank session. (Refer to Chapter 1, “Welcome to Pro Tools 9,” for a complete rundown of this process.)

If you don’t have any musicians on hand to record, don’t worry—I’ve got you covered. The CD included with your book is actually an enhanced CD, which means it’s a data disc and an audio CD. Just pop the disc in a regular CD player, and you’ll hear the following tracks:
