12. Editing MIDI

Pro Tools offers many different methods for viewing and editing MIDI. MIDI data can be displayed in regions, allowing you to select, move, loop, and assemble material with familiar region-based editing techniques. You can also work on the level of individual MIDI notes, with powerful tools for selecting, moving, copying, transposing, quantizing, and inserting notes.

Pro Tools gives you the ability to audition changes to MIDI data in real time with the MIDI Real-Time Properties feature. It also lets you edit multiple tracks simultaneously in the MIDI Editor and allows notation-based editing in the Score Editor.
