10 MIDI

As explained earlier, MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. MIDI devices transmit and receive data about a performance—how you strike a key, press a pedal, apply pressure to the keyboard, turn a knob, push a slider, and so on. MIDI is a communications language; it transmits instructions rather than audio signals.
