Exploring the Mix Window

You’ve visited the Mix window before (way back in Chapter 2, “Getting Around in Pro Tools”), but now it’s time to dig deeper. If you’re not looking at it already, the first thing to do is to switch over to the Mix window (which you also learned how to do in Chapter 2). Depending on how you left the Mix window last time, the channel strips might appear rather narrow. Although the Narrow Mix view can certainly be useful in some situations, you’ll be able to see more information with Narrow Mix view turned off. Here’s how to check which view you’re in and disable Narrow Mix view if it’s currently enabled.
