Track-Comping Tools

Let’s say you’ve just finished multiple takes of a section (either by recording a number of times or through loop recording). In most cases, the next step is to compile a final track that includes the best parts of each take. This process is called comping a track, and it is one of the cornerstones of professional editing.

As with many other processes in Pro Tools, there are a number of ways to comp a track, with different methods appropriate for different situations.
