Why Users Stay Away

One of the most common problems when deploying a new SharePoint portal is a lack of adoption. Adoption refers to the rate at which users begin actively using the solution and, therefore, realizing the value it returns to the organization. A lack of adoption occurs when users refuse to try the features of the new portal, or else try or even use them for a time, and then abandon the portal in favor of another solution. After the time and expense put into deploying a full-featured portal solution, this type of problem can cause the entire project to be deemed a failure.
