Start Communicating
Communication between the governance team and the rest of the organization is the key to a successful portal. At this point in the formation process it is a good idea to begin opening the lines of communication. Formal communication and education plans will come later but, for now, just get the word out.
- Ask for volunteers for the governance team.
- Ask for proposed content and functional requirements.
- Ask for any and all ideas that might add value to the portal being developed or the governance effort around it.
