Before working on developing a governance plan for your environment, it's important to understand what needs to be governed and how it needs to be governed. You will also need to understand what policies must be created and determine who will monitor these policies. Microsoft provides great insight into the governance overview. As discussed early on in this book, governance is for the people, by the people, and should not be a hindrance.
