Branding Components

As previously discussed, branding elements are typically broken down into three main elements: themes, master pages, and CSS files. This section will provide insight into each element and how to utilize it to make your sites come alive.

Themes

SharePoint themes are by far the easiest option for creating light branding for a SharePoint site. Themes allow for 12 colors and 2 fonts to be applied to any SharePoint site. Microsoft completely revamped how themes work in SharePoint 2010, making the creation of a theme much easier than it was in MOSS 2007.
