Welcome to the University of Newbridge

To illustrate the processes and procedures you will need in order to know when to activate your plan, I will use an example of a fictional university. I will base it in my home town: Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. Here we have a lot of sheep; as you will see, even these seemingly innocuous creatures can cause a disaster.

I will use the example to flesh out some concepts you should understand when thinking about what needs to be in place before you can activate your DR plan. Let’s start with the twinned concepts of processes and procedures.
