Outlook 2010 Integration

Outlook 2010 now integrates with SharePoint 2010, using the Social Connector. This tool shows user profile information of people included in your email to/from address lines, including their picture. To enable the Social Connector in Outlook 2010, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Outlook 2010, and click the View tab.
  2. Click the People pane button.
  3. Click Account Settings.
  4. On the Social Networks account screen, click the checkbox next to My Sites.
  5. Supply the URL of your My Site, and your username and password.
  6. Click the Connect button, and then Finish.

If all is well, you should see a message about successful integration.
