My Sites
Each My Site in SharePoint exists as a personal site collection for individuals in the organization. My Sites provide a space for users to store documents, host custom and stock lists, access their profile information, show their news, contribute thru a blog, feed, and so on.
Note SharePoint 2010 does not require users to have a My Site to view their User Profile information.
