Configuring Your SharePoint Farm

The SharePoint Farm Configuration Wizard (sometimes called the “White Wizard” in some circles, as opposed to the “Gray Wizard” that is the Products Configuration Wizard) walks the administrator through configuration of the farm. In SharePoint 2007, Microsoft pretty much left the farm configuration up to administrators and guided them with a task list of items. SharePoint 2010 assists you— the administrator—further with the wizard. As with any wizard, SharePoint makes certain assumptions to guide you.
