Oracle Clusterware is a cluster manager that is integrated into the Oracle database and provides all the features required to manage a cluster database, including node membership, group services, global resource management, and high availability functions.

Oracle Clusterware provides high availability by eliminating single points of failure in environments containing redundant hardware and software.
