Chapter 6. ODP.NET Globalization

I'll start this chapter by relating an incident that happened at a comic book retail company in Singapore a few years back. The headquarters in Singapore initially deployed an online marketing tool that allowed its sales team to launch and coordinate online marketing campaigns. The system ran on an Oracle database of course.

The problem came when the company officiated its Japanese online store. The Singaporeans wanted the Japanese to use the same set of tools and data, so they sent it all to a translator, who translated everything into Japanese.
