Tab Bars

We can also style our footer as a tab bar. A tab bar gives users the ability to switch between different views within the application. If you are not too familiar with tab bars their behavior is very similar to tab-based navigation you find on the Web. Tab bars are commonly positioned as a persistent footer at the bottom edge of the screen that remains accessible from every location in the application. Tab bars typically contain buttons that display both an icon and text for clarity. In the examples below we will look at three styles of tab bars.
