The designer/developer workflow is another topic that is beyond the scope of this book, but it's worth noting that XAML is the key enabler in providing a clear separation of concerns between the user interface and the code, and hence a reasonably clear separation between the roles of the designer and those of the developer. Generally, the designer will be focused on the look and behavior of the user interface, while the developer will be focused on writing the code that services the needs of the user interface.
