Summary

This chapter showed you how to use WCF RIA Services to expose data and operations from the server to your client Silverlight application, and how to implement all the server-based requirements associated with doing so, such as handling errors, identifying and handling concurrency violations, and sharing code across tiers. You now have a ProductService domain service that exposes product data from the server and enables the product data to be maintained—that is, products can be inserted, updated, and deleted. The next chapter will show you how to consume this data in order to create a functional Silverlight application.
