Chapter 10. Managing and monitoring

After closing the deal, both the investor and the venture-backed company need to organize, plan, and manage their partner, assuming that they will live a “temporary but important marriage.” First, they have to define and share various details and agree upon both medium-long term and daily rules. Second, they must commit to working together and transparency when managing typical agency problems.

The goal shared between the investor and the venture-backed company (or the entrepreneur) is always the same: the creation of value.
