When a computer is shared with other users at home or at work, there could be a concern that subsequent users of the computer could see the files that the current user has been viewing. This can happen when the computer is configured to have one user account for all users or a user looks at another user's Recent Document folder.

To avoid this, the user can clear the List my most recently opened documents checkbox under the Advanced tab of the Customize Start Menu dialog shown in Figure 4.7. To display this dialog, right-click the taskbar, select Properties, select the Start Menu tab, and then click the Customize button.
