Valuing Privacy

As the reader of this book, you probably understand the importance of privacy. But how do you get an entire company to value privacy? It can be extremely difficult in a company that is dependent on customer data for its survival. However, all companies have a code of ethics by which they govern themselves. Many of them have “The customer comes first” as an important tenet. If that is true, then valuing a customer's privacy should naturally be an extension of that tenet.
