Like the tiny specks of grain in traditional photographic film, an inkjet printer uses tiny dots to create the illusion of color. Just like the commercial reproduction of photographs in magazines and books, an inkjet printer uses a variation of the halftone process using the same four Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black ink colors.
