The internet is a global federation of interconnected networks that can be used for the passing of email messages between users and for conferencing services. The internet also hosts the web, a global network of information resources. Web users ‘browse’ information using application programs called web browsers, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and Mozilla Firefox.
