Chapter 16. Ten Tips for Mind Mapping with Prezi

Mind Mapping is a tool used to encourage visual thinking and creativity. It allows you to see what you're thinking by making your ideas visible. You can use Mind Maps for all types of activities, including solving problems, planning projects, taking meeting notes, and collecting information on your favorite hobby.

A Mind Map is a visual thinking tool that allows you to get your ideas out where you can see and manipulate them. It's easier to work with ideas when they're visible to you. You're then free to brainstorm and add new ideas without having to hold everything in your mind at once. When you put your thoughts on paper or canvas, your mind begins to see patterns and make associations you would never find without the visual input.

This wide variety of uses requires Mind Maps to hold lots of complex information. When you use Prezi to create your Mind Maps, you can dramatically increase their effectiveness at presenting such information by taking advantage of Prezi's most powerful features. For example, Prezi enables you to zoom in to examine the detail of a Mind Map and zoom out to view any patterns and get the big picture.
