Before I start talking about you, let me make sure we get something straight. When you are presenting, it is NOT about you. Too many presenters believe that when they get up in front of a crowd, big or small, it is all about them. It is their time to shine because all eyes are on them. This could not be farther from the truth. When you are on stage you are there to serve, educate, inspire, and engage. You are not the hero; the audience is the hero. To put it simpler and in the words of Nancy Duarte, the speaker is Yoda and the audience is Luke Skywalker.1 Yoda was the teacher.
