The Lay of the Land

When you arrive early at your presentation room, you have a chance to walk around to view things from the audience’s perspective from different vantage points. That way, you can fine-tune your presentation to ensure that the audience’s needs are met. As you walk around the room, visualize making your presentation and anticipate the reaction you will be getting. For many presenters changes in their presentations often start by visualizing a virtual scenario and picturing how it could be better. It’s one thing to do this while practicing at home or in your office, but it’s quite another when you do it in the actual room you will be presenting in.
