Audiovisual Aids

Chances are you’ll use at least one audiovisual aid to support your presentation. Audiovisual aids can make a bland presentation exciting, but they can also turn a good presentation into a disaster if the presenter has not adequately planned for their use. Therefore, it’s especially important that appropriate accommodations be made for any audiovisual aid you decide to use. As part of your plan, make sure that you have accounted for the following provisions when using audiovisual aids prior to your presentation:

  • Be sure there are enough outlets to accommodate your audiovisual equipment; know the location of each; and arrange for necessary extension cords or power strips.
