Presentation Basics
Before getting into specific details about making a presentation, you should understand some of the elements common to all presentations. Think of every presentation you make as having a beginning, middle, and a closing section, just like most books you read. Audiences and readers like structure in their books and the presentations they attend. Here are the three parts spelled out more clearly:
The beginning grabs your audience’s attention.
The middle provides your audience with some key ideas or skills to think about or act upon.
The closing enables your audience to think or perform in a different way.
