Creating a Batch List Manually

If you prefer to manage your batch list yourself, you can create a batch list manually. Unlike the Project Trimmer method, this method does not trim or rename your clips, so differentiating them from the original clips is more difficult. To prevent confusion, you may want to delete the original source files (if the timecode is good, you have nothing to fear). If you prefer to keep the original files around, make sure that you keep the recaptured files in a separate, easy-to-identify folder.

To create a batch list from a project or bin:

1.	Remove unused clips, as explained in “Purging Unused Clips” earlier in this chapter. This step prevents you from recapturing clips that aren’t necessary in your program.
