Choosing a Scratch Disk

In Chapter 9, “Previewing Transitions and Effects,” you learned to designate the disks Premiere uses to save video and audio preview files. You can also designate a scratch disk for capture. Choose your fastest disk, it will be the most capable of capturing all the frames successfully.

To set the scratch disk:

1.
In the Movie Capture window, click the Settings tab. The Movie Capture window’s Settings panel appears, showing a summary of the capture settings and preferences.

In the Preferences area of the Settings panel of the Movie Capture window, click the Edit button (Figure 16.7).
